Meet the Team
Allyson
Hello, my name is Allyson, and I am a receptionist for Higginbottom Orthodontics. Although I am a new member of the team, I have over five years experience in customer relations. My duties include greeting patients, scheduling appointments, answering the phone, and assisting wherever else I may be needed. As a former patient, I am a testimony to Dr. Higginbottom’s knowledge and expertise in the orthodontic profession. I am always getting compliments on my pretty smile!
I recently moved to Cordova, but grew up in Trappe, Maryland. My favorite time of year is summertime when I can be outside enjoying the warm weather and going to the beach.
Amy
Hello, my name is Amy, and I’m a Clinical Orthodontic Assistant/Sterilization Coordinator for Dr. Mark Higginbottom. I’ve been with our team since my junior year in high school (2006). I started with him as a high school intern, and that position later turned into a job! My duties include making sure that everything is properly sterilized, pouring models, developing radiographs, assisting the orthodontists, and helping out where ever I am needed.
I am a native of Cordova, Maryland, and currently live there with my family members. I enjoy spending time with them, and I am currently going to school to become a dental hygienist. In my spare time, I enjoy sewing and quilting.
Cathy
Hello, my name is Cathy, and I have been part of our orthodontic team since 1984. I am a Certified Orthodontic Assistant and have been given the title of Fun Ambassador. Getting to know our patients and watching their treatment progress is one of the many rewards of my job. We strive to create a fun, warm, friendly atmosphere. It’s not uncommon to hear lots of laughter in our office.
My high school sweetheart and I have been married 24 years and have 3 boys. I enjoy going out to lunch with my friends at work, reading, camping, and watching lacrosse games.
Debbie
Hello, my name is Debbie, and I have been with Dr. Higginbottom’s orthodontic practice for 8 years as a Certified Orthodontic Assistant. I feel we have a wonderful staff. We enjoy being together and Dr. Higginbottom makes it an exciting place to work. We take pride in our office efficiency and begin on time for our patients. We enjoy working with the patients — both children and adults. To be part of our patients’ lives as their smiles change is a special aspect of my job.
I live in Easton with my husband of 20 years and two children. I enjoy working with children in our 4-H program, spending time with my family, scrapbooking, jousting, and spending time with our horses.
Holly
Hi, my name is Holly. I have been with Dr. Higginbottom since 2005 as a Certified Dental Assistant. I enjoy watching the rapport he has with patients of all ages and backgrounds. He was my orthodontist when I was a teenager, and both of my daughters have been his patients as well. Now, as an employee, it’s fun to watch the transformation of smiles from a different aspect!
I am a native of Easton, MD. When I’m not working, I enjoy the beach, spending time with my family, and playing with my granddaughter.
Julie
Hi, my name is Julie, and I am an orthodontic assistant. I have been in the field of orthodontics for 14 years. I really enjoy watching the changes in the patients not only physically but emotionally as well. The power of a beautiful smile is priceless. As a former patient of Dr. Mark Higginbottom’s, I know his patients are in good hands. Some of the staff that treated me are still here!
I live outside of Hurlock, Maryland with my husband, son, and two dogs. We have been married for 12 years and our son is 3. When I am not at work I enjoy shopping or eating out with my friends and family.

Hello, my name is Lori and I’m the Laboratory Technician for Dr. Mark Higginbottom. I’ve been with Dr. Higginbottom since 2001. What I like best about working with him is how he makes everyone feel how important they are to making the practice a success. I also love being able to see the joy brought to the patients when their smiles are transformed.
I am a native of Wilmington, Delaware, and currently live in southern Pennsylvania with my daughter. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, crocheting, reading, arts and crafts.
Lindsay
Hello, my name is Lindsay Cappa. I joined the team at Higginbottom Orthodontics in October 2009. I am passionate about customer service and look forward to helping make each and every visit easy and enjoyable. I look forward to assisting each patient in achieving the smile they have always wanted and deserved.
My husband and I have been married for two years. Together, we live in Cordova, MD with our puppy and new baby boy. In my spare time I enjoy spending quality time with my family and playing and watching lacrosse.
